I was watching a few vids from Jayden Animations abt her vid on Thesaurus.com and just had a weird recall back to high school...
Once upon a time in english class, one of my classmates used hifalutin (is that a word? I keep hearing it but i don't really believe it) word in an essay. Sure, Special Science Class whatever expectation but srsly, at age 14-15 she used worlds beyond the 7-letter limit. Add to that we're in the Philippines so English is kinda the second language (First there's your dialect, second there's english, that's al-jk. Actually its first your dialect, then 1.5 - tagalog, then second is english.) Lol. I'm just kidding. But in all seriousness, I was just baffled. Maybe because everytime I answer an essay I use everyday words to express what I mean as quick and straightforward as I can. I'm not really a fan of making "bulaklakin" or flowery filler text hence I tend to not use these sophisticated words into my paragraphs. Not that I don't have a good vocabulary, i believe I've raked enough english from cartoons, movies and books, but I guess I work better using conversational language than using technical blabbery. How I survived a technical and scientific course in college? IDK.
Anyway, I remember just going to mom and telling her that. I don't remember whatever happened coz all throughout that conversation, my mind was just:
"How did she do that? How did she learn those words? Are those even words? Was that english? I know she's talking in english but did she add a foreigh language in that essay? Did she use the Rosetta stone? Am I dumb?"
Haha. Anyway after that I guess I tried my best using those hifalutin (there it is. Again!) words and I still do in special occasions (aka thesis, reports, speeches, dex descriptions, fancy feeling deviantArt journals and instagram captions) but like I said. I still prefer talking to the regular and/or broken conversational english.
Just a short ramble and recall. Its raining outside coz a storm has entered PAR and thus I am but a humble burrito wrapped in my blanket whilst binge watching/listening to Jayden Animation while trying to hatch a good pokemon (perfect EV + wanted Nature + possibly shiny) or fish for a Razor Fang on my Ultra Moon despite being almost midnight. Not much on my fakemon stuff atm coz I'm doing a commission set + a long delayed layout for a friend. I could release the Route 1 page maybe before the month ends. Btw what do you guys think abt the way I present the Bago Region? Its not an original thing. People on IG do it, Luis did it (so did meru i think?). I wanna know how you guys feel about it.

Hello!
Man it's been so long! Hi! I'm Adam! It's been a while since I posted anything here. I've been employed as a graphic designer for almost a year now and most of my time goes towards work and resting nowadays. The work is fun and I enjoy doing it but it does get tiresome both physically and mentally and so I do not have much time to produce a lot of personal stuff. Aside from that, I'm still.on Twitter & Instagram and the All-New Thread app, though not as active because of work. I did put certain project on the shelf such as the Tamala Region Interactive Game I planned to start production this year. I'm doing it solo so its going to be arduously slow, knowing of my art direction. I also started a Youtube where I revived my old WFSID series but that too got shelved because production coincided with the busiest season at work. I was also involved with aDrive's Elestrals project at one point but due to work, I had to step down as a designer (but I did artworks for that project, namely Exaltair regular card art and the Artists Collection one where I really had fun rendering, as well as some shiny version for a couple of characters). The life of the full-time employed, amirite? Anyway, I do have some upcoming stuff planned. The current one I'm working on is stockpiling artworks for my next generation. I'm planning a July release but no definitive date yet. The Tamala Region game is still on the table so I'm gonna be picking that up whenever I can as long as I have tome. Commissions are also up via Twitter but everything is on a no-deadline basis as a protection for my mental health. I'm also joining some local conventions here! I might be joining a con and selling some stickers and other merch I'll manage to create. Other than that, I'm enjoying just travelling through Hyrule and Paldea when I have time. See you next time! -Adam
Hello
Hello not dead yet. hahaha jsut really busy with work. Got a long holiday coming next week so im hoping to get some work done there. Maybe I can upload some of the newer content around that time
Internship again and future projects
Hey y'all! Sorry for the lack of upload. Super busy right now. Got a lot of things in my brain and I'm organizing what I wanna do first post-internship. Funny coz I remember starting here during my internship in a previous course. Now, it's back again, except that I'm a lot more inactive. But yeah, anyway, I'm more active and updated on Instagram and Twitter so check me out over there! I've thought and maybe started to create some reels with my process timelapse on IG so if you're interested, check me out over there. If you wanna talk business or just read any of my dumb thoughts and half-baked game theories Twitter is the way to go. Alright, bbye!
2022
Hey yall! I'm back from my hiatus! well, sort of. I still need time to do new fakemon stuff but im slowly getting on the roll of it. I've got some exciting projects in my head right now but since they are still brewing, they might take some time until I reveal them formally. Alrighty! See you later!

I know what you mean. I love using large vocabulary words, but I personally tend to to use more everyday terms. One reason is because it's much more relaxed and casual, I prefer a very open dialect, one that all can feel and understand, not something you have to really think about to understand or something. The other reason is almost all my talking takes place online, and half of the people I talk with don't use English as their first language, so it gets confusing, so I use more everyday terms that all can understand more, it's just easier then people coming back with "what???" lol
